I see there's a Carl's Jr. opening up in the old Krystal location at
Trinity Mills and Midway. I've heard of them, I think they're
California based. Are they any good?

There's one in Anna too, on Hwy 75. They're not bad for a fast-
food burger.

They're about the same as a Jack In The Box in CA. I wasn't aware Krystal
had closed. Given all the hype when it opened, I'd have expected it to
still be open for years.

Well dammit, I didn't know Krystal's had closed! Going to miss those odd
little burger with mustard, pickles, and onions, on that soft little
bun. My (grown) kids are going to be pissed.

I like Carl's Jr - a lot.

Recommend: Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger. Best mass-market
drive-thru burger available, bar none.

There is also one opening in Richardson at a former KFC I hear.

In-n-Out and Carl's Jr. coming to DFW - I repeat my statement, we are
amidst the golden age of burger joints. Enjoy the variety while you can.

Going to be in Firewheel in Garland. But as the article notes, a meat
processing center in Texas has to mean more than just one...

Which location, the Addison one, or the Richardson one? Or the Garland one?

Jackpot!

Stopped in and had a Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger. Mmmmmmm....

Not so high on their new fries. Have a weird battered taste, and were a
bit too salty. Sometimes, I think hamburger places try too hard trying
to outdo McDonalds on their fries. These fries are a miss. Just cut some
potatoes up and fry them and add a little salt, no reason to try to come
up with an extravagant oil to cook them in for a weird taste...

Overall, nice experience, very clean and attentive staff with their shit
together, at least at lunch yesterday.
