Spring Creek and Hwy 75, NE corner, in the space that used to be
occupied by Prince Bistro (according to a sign in the window there).

These are perhaps the best burgers in the universe, and the fries
ain't bad either.

My son worked there (Frisco location) for a few months. He said they just
use standard hamburger meat, no seasoning, nothing. Fries are fried for 30
seconds removed to cool the fried again for a few more minutes to make them
crispy on outside and soft on the inside. He ate all the combinations he
could think of since they got a free meal per shift. After everything was
said and done he said there burgers where not any better than anyone else's
out there that did not use frozen patties. I tried a few and came to the
same opinion. We both actually thought Braums was a better burger. They
defiantly have a better selection. He said basically its like the Crystal
Burger or Krispy Cream affect.(Disclaimer- I think Krispy Cream are the
Best). You read the hype, or perhaps you lived on the east coast and ate
them there where they originated from, read about how the president ate
there, or read a review. They are no more special than the ones you get
elsewhere that uses fresh hamburger meat. They fry then in the same grease
and use the same type of griddle, same vegetables, same cheese, same
everything as everyone else does. Your told there better so you mind thinks
there better. Five guys sells only burgers, hotdogs and fry's. That's it,
nothing else, which is fine of course. To their credit he said they threw
out there fry's if they sit in the waiting area more than 3 minutes. But
the employees hated that because they get yelled at to get the fry's out to
the waiting customers who are complaining about having to wait for there
order even though there was plenty of fries ready they could of gave them.
Son was offered shift leader which he refused since this a temp gig while in
school and found a better paying job. They pay bare minimum wage, treat the
employees bad, have a very high turn around, 15 people came and went in the
few months he worked there from the lack of respect and pay they received
busting there young butts for minimum wage just to get yelled at and be
called at the last second on a your day off to fill in because some one quit
again.. But hey its a burger place. Anyways not to carry on but if this is
the kind of place you want to support then have at it. I wont go there
after all I have heard and seen there.

Yep, that's how you make proper french fries. Ideally the par-frying
is at a lower temperature (at home I do 2 minutes at 320F, allow them
to come down to room temperature, than 2 minutes at 375F).

Well, de gustibus non disputandum. 5G was recommended to me by a
guy on another newsgroup; I found that we have one at The Galleria,
and have eaten there twice. Best burger ever.

Braum's - if you can find a clean one, always a challenge - makes a very
good fast food burger. Definitely on par with Five Guys, though Five
Guys has more topping varieties.

Krystal's is good, for what they are - a weird mustard/onion/pickle
slider. Though a "burger" in name, they really are a different animal
altogether.

Burger joints are opening EVERYWHERE - first it was subs, now burgers.
Damn things are all over the place, almost too many to try. One thing is
for sure. SCREW WENDY'S.

I eat at the one in Frisco from time to time, and did so this evening in
fact. Nice selection of toppings, though the burger itself is wholly
unremarkable.

Whoa, can't board that last train to Crazy Town with you there. There
are SO many better burger places. Grazing Cow is KILLING Five Guys,
Kenny's also annihilates them - try their brie and mushroom burger. They
can't even clear the bar set by Fuddrucker's.

Any burger you cannot get cooked medium rare is NO burger worth honoring.

Fries are pretty good though, I love fresh cut fries. Though they can be
inconsistent...

It's an overall decent meal, but it can't lay claim to "best" anything,
except for "best fries-at-the-bottom-of-the-bag experience". THAT they
win hands down.

As I told the other guy: de gustibus non disputandum. I ate at
Grazing Cow shortly after a review was posted here, and while it's
a great burger, I'm looking forward to 5G's opening - and they're
right down the street from GC, in a much better location.

Not familiar with Kenny's, but I'll give it a try. Fuddrucker's:
meh.

Yeah, there IS that. (Although I note that what 5G calls "well
done" is actually medium-well.)

meh.
The Kenny's Burger House that I know of is in Frisco at Legacy just
north of 121, same center as Silver Fox. That brie/mush burger is too
rich for me, but a bite or two is pretty damn good!

Also, get their onion rings - top tier. HUGE cut rings, an inch wide,
good batter.

Crap, now I'm hungry.
