I personally prefer Heinz and Hunt's over DelMonte. They seem richer and
thicker and something just seems to be missing with DelMonte. Anyone
else have thoughts on best ketchup?

Make your own:

http://www.saveur.com/article/Food/Ketchup

You can get it just the way you want, and the best part is you
can eliminate yet one more product containing that nasty corn
syrup crap from your diet.

Otherwise: Heinz. No question. If I'm out to eat and Heinz is
not on the table, I do without.

(But then again, I don't put ketchup on anything other than
burgers, fries, and sliced avocado.)

I eat burgers plain and dry. When I came back to Texas for Christmas
last year, the first What A Burger I found, I stopped and got a double
burger plain and dry. It was awesome.

I put ketchup on fries only if they are not good. If they are great
fries (like Balthazar in New York, the best, or Nathan's) just salt
them.

There is a place in Indianopolis called Brugge Brasserie. Their fries
are really good just like in Belgium. They make their own toppings
and the best is their blue cheese topping. They also make their own
ketchup.

Their brew their own beer and it is awesome as well.
