For my birthday, my wife decided to take me out to Texas Roadhouse
in Garland. Unfortunately, it was Valentine's Day (my birthday was
a few days earlier), so it was packed. I figured that it would be
okay since we got there just a tad after 4PM, but I was wrong.
Facing a 30 minute wait, we decided to go to Thai Corner instead.

Thai Corner is on Garland Road near Bush. It's close to Walmart and
Target. It's right next door to Red Robin (yuck), but their parking
lots don't connect.

My wife and I have been there several times before, but hadn't been
in a while. When we arrived, there were no other customers inside.
Two customers arrived at different times to pick up phoned in
orders. Also, before we left one or two other groups of customers
came in to dine. I like Texas Roadhouse, but Thai Corner is quite
good too. I wish more people would give them business.

I ordered the chicken pad-si-iew, which is what I get most often
while there. As always, it was very good. I forget what my wife
ordered, but know that she liked it quite a bit.

The waiter sort of remembered us, but obviously confused us with
other guests. He asked if I play Soduko. For reasons I don't
understand, my wife answered "yes" to that.

Garland Health Restaurant Scores:

Thai Corner - 80
Texas Roadhouse - 78
Red Robin - 88

All three, disappointing scores as far as I am concerned.

It's amazing to me how the chains can be packed while the small
mom-and-pop places go hungry (so to speak).

Ah, well. That's the way it is here, I guess.
