Post by Mark ShawPost by Nigel ReedOMG, I've not been here for years...so much has changed in the DFW
area in the last 10-15 years. What's everyone's favorite place to
eat these days?
My kitchen. The quality's gone downhill most places, or they've
closed (looking at you, Cane Rosso Fairview).
Ok, what time should I be there? :)
1) I am not licensed to serve food to the public and 2) you can't
afford my prices. Plus the atmosphere is horrible; one of my dogs
barks at strangers until she decides that they're okay (a process
that can take a few hours).
Post by Nigel ReedI'm looking forward to Beerhead opening up in Plano. Not so much for
their food, by the looks of it, but for their beer selection. I was sad
when The Drunken Donkey in The Colony closed down, it's hard to find a
good selection of craft brews from around the world. Been going to
Guitars and Growlers in Richardson since they have a decent selection
and rotate often.
Lion and Crown in Watters Creek has a decent selection of draft beer,
although I wouldn't call any of it "craft." But it's $3/pint on Tuesday
evenings, so that's where you can find me. (I'm the fat bearded guy at
the bar working on a laptop.)
Since Nine Band Brewery closed I've also been going to Tupp's in
McKinney (typically only Saturday evenings when they have live
music).
And howzabout that Nine Band anyway? I've been waiting for Ashley
to go on trial so I can follow it. I really want to see what the
defense has to say....
As far as food goes, I think the only place I've eaten out (other
than lunch at a ramen or burger place) has been when the Cousin's
Lobster food truck is at Tupp's. Mmmm, lobster tacos.
