I'll be at the Watt Arena - essentially Lancaster and Camp Bowie,
from what Mr. Google is telling me - the weekend of 5 September
2008, working a dog-agility trial.

And I'm staying at the La Quinta a bit east I-30 and Las Vegas Trail.

Any good places to eat and/or drink in either of those neighborhoods?

Thanks!

Some excellent TexMex at the Original Mexican Restaurant on CampBowie, just
west of Hulen. It may be FW's oldest Mexican restaurant. Also, some
fabulous more traditional Mexican food is at Asadero, on North Main, south
of the Stockyards. Asadero is a small, family-run place, and serves some of
the best green chili enchiladas anywhere, and the salsa is killer. I
usually buy salsa to take home. Angelos barbeque on WhiteSettlement is a
long time FW favorite, and is just north and east of the intersection of
CampBowie and University.
And hamburgers don't get any better than Kincaid's. Find them at
Kincaid's Grocery on CampBowie, east of I-30.

We tried that place, as well as The Railhead. Both were great.

Thanks for the recommendations.
