Got takeout to go this time. Not as packed yesterday for dinner as a
weekend for lunch. Plenty of shredded lettuce with crumbly cheese.
Modest food, fast, tasty. I liked the grilled/fried shrimp tacos. We
also got pulled/shredded varieties of usual meats. Cheap enough. Hot
Hot sauce had lots of vinegar. Wow, cleared my sinuses. Melted
cheese had enhancements; guac had lettuce and lime. Nice change from
Bueno. Don't really worry about authentic or not. Is that a big
deal?

Whatcha'll think? I saw something here back in October about it. Read
like a meh.

I hardly ever go to Fuzzy's, since El Paisa is so close to my
office. It'd be like driving to the next town to see the Oak
Ridge Boys when the Allman Brothers are playing right next door.

I ate at the one on Mockingbird and Abrams recently, and it's still up to
their standards, though this location has far less college folks and a large
number of families and yuppies in it. Remember to save the cup, as they give
you a substantial refil discount.

I like all of the tacos I've tried, and they stuff their breakfast tacos
more than Toxic Banana does. I've also developed a taste for their nachos.
They do really smooth queso, too. Authentic place? No way in hell. But there
is a lot of room for interesting taco stands, and the feta and garlic sauce
is a flavorful touch that makes their stuff a bit different.

It wouldn't surprise me if they start opening locations a bit farther from
the universities now that this location has drawn so many non-college folks.
And it's interesting to encounter something from Ft. Worth crossing the
county line to the east for a change.

I've always liked Fuzzy's. We go to the one on Abrams in Arlington. Food is
predictable and the kids like it too. Garlic habanero shredded beef tacos
make my day - authentic or not. Big cheap cold beers work for me too.
