I have found, through time and experimentation, that if you first toast
the bread in a toaster, then place 3-4 types of sliced cheese (Sharp
Ceddar, American, etc.- whatver you like) on the toasted bread and then
place it in the microwave for about 15 seconds to make the cheese melt
good that this is a lot less troubled than grilling the sandwich in a
pan, and equally delicious. If you have any variations or suggestions on
grilled cheese sandwiches, what a wonderful way to launch the New Year
