Anyone have a favorite pizza place that serves thin, crispy crust pizza?
Looking for EastDallas, Garland, or Mesquite locations......and not really
interested in chain restaurants--Hut, Domino's, Ceasar's, etc......

Thanks!

Campisi's is absolutely great pizza. Though they have more than one location
these days, I don't consider them to be a chain in the same sense others do.
They're something of a Dallas Icon.

I like Carmine's. Two locations in N. Dallas.

I know that I Fratelli's is a chain but it has some of the best thin,
crispy crust pizza...nicely spiced and fully prepared. At Las Colinas
Sunday mornings is buffet with ever changing variety of pizza, stuffed
pasta shells, chicken, sausage, grilled veggies, salads,
desserts...not a bad value.

They are indeed a chain, but a local one which is apparently family-
owned. Their pizza definitely lends itself to comparisons with
Campisi's. I order from the Grapevine location quite a lot, but that
buffet is indeed really, really good. The above will tell you about the
place, and their official website is: http://www.i-fratelli.com/

I know this is pretty far, but in the new watters creek shopping center at
Bethany and 75 (allen) there is a place called Grimaldi's. It is a Brooklyn
staple and they even had a chemist attepmt to duplicate the mineral content
of the tap water in NY to get it right. If you ask this NY'er, they make a
damn good pizza.

Marco's at Preston and Royal in North Dallas. Sorry, I don't know of anything
further east. -- Doug

Eno's Tavern in Bishop Arts in Oakcliff. Wonderful thin pizza,
excellent salads and a great beer selection to boot.

Chicago's Finest Pizza, Pasta & More

This place is great. Has regular, thin, double dough and Chicago deep dish.
Its also one of the few places that serves real Chicago style Vienna Beef
Hot Dogs.
Its in Plano so perhaps not the right area for you but worth the drive.
Also they are pick up only. No place to sit. They have been there (Coit &
Spring Creek) for a long time so I guess not having a sit down place works
just fine for them.

Actually, it's at NE corner of Independence and Spring Creek.
And, yes, it's damn good pizza, Chicago style all the way, everything is
under the cheese and excellent thin crust.

I've eaten there, once. And "once" only because it's out of my
way. I heartily third the recommendation. Good, good stuff.

I'll have to swing by there soon. In particular, I didn't know
they had Chicago-style dogs!
